No, StrengthInCulture is a private pay practice. I have made the intentional decision to remain out-of-network to ensure the highest level of privacy and clinical flexibility for my clients. Insurance companies require a permanent mental health diagnosis for coverage and often dictate the frequency, length, and focus of therapy. By operating independently of insurance panels, we ensure that your care is driven strictly by your needs and goals, and your records remain confidential within the limits of the law, rather than part of a large insurance database.
-
Likely, yes. Many insurance plans (especially PPO plans) include "out-of-network" benefits that may reimburse you for a significant portion of the session cost (often 50–80%). How it works: You pay the full fee at the time of service. Upon request, I will provide you with a monthly medical receipt (called a "Superbill") which includes the necessary codes for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Note: I recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card and asking, "What is my reimbursement rate for an out-of-network individual therapy session (CPT code 90837)?"
-
I require 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Because your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee. This policy allows us to maintain the integrity of the therapeutic experience and ensures consistency in our work together. Exceptions are rarely made, as this boundary is an essential part of the commitment to the process.
-
I accept all major credit cards, HSA (Health Savings Account), and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards. A valid card is required to be on file to secure your intake appointment, and payment is processed automatically when session is booked.

Under the "No Surprises Act," health care providers are required to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This will be provided to you as part of your intake paperwork.
